New 17.85 kW Micro-Inverter Grid-Tie Solar System Installation

Solar For Everyone

Shipment of 70 250w ReneSola Solar Modules

I believe solar energy installed in urban communities is a viable source of renewable energy in comparison to other technologies like wind. Solar technology made even more sense in cities like St. Louis, where utilities was required to subsidize majority of  the  installation cost.

       Inspecting Solar Modules
We received the last shipment of solar modules from the factory on 5-29-2013. This was a long waited process with the approvals from utility company to tie into the grid. We begin first by inspecting the shipment and insuring we received all the correct parts.

            Micro-inverters
We will be installing (70) solar modules and (70) micro-inverters. The micro-inverters will reduce the cost of the electrical wiring requirements as well as provide a much cleaner install.
Big-Red dry fitting the inverters and rails

We then did a dry fit on the ground to insure proper measurements once we got up on the roof. This was an important step as the roof  has a steep slope and we will  need to tie off and be very careful.

I will continue to post our progress as we complete this massive installation stay tune to future post.
