Solar for Everyone Day Two
|
Oran (Big-O) and Ahmed (akdadoc) |
Its day two of the 17.85 Kw grid-tied micro-inverter solar installation Saint Louis, Missouri.
We are installing the rails for the solar modules to secure
to the roof. We started first by installing safety straps for the fall
protection harnesses.

Big-O adding L feet for the railing |
This was a steeper slope then I expected, so this made the
safety of my men even more important. Installing the rails was more challenging
then most installations, as the slope
was not only steep but also the metal roofing made it a complete hazard when
any liquids was present on the surface.

P-Diddy and Big-O installing first row of railing. |
We had 480 feet of railing to have installed by the end of
the day, but rain was forecasted so we may be delayed one more day.
We added rail extension between the lengths of rails to connect them in several complete rows.
Tomorrow we will be adding the additional rails and micro inverters and some solar modules on the top row
